Dubai, May 7: Karnataka Sangha, Sharjah as part of its annual programme this year, for the first time ever, is organising a 'Couple Dance' competition. The audition round will be held on May 23 at Hotel Dubai Grand, Al Ghusais (by Fortune Group - A Praveen Shetty Enterprise) at 9 am sharp.
There will be two rounds and the final round will be held at Indian Association Sharjah auditorium on June 20 at 3 pm.
The last date for receiving entries will be May 16. The participants have to dance on exclusively Kannada songs. The competition is open to all Kannadigas residing in the UAE.

Selection
The audition round will take place at Hotel Dubai Grand, Al Ghusais on Friday May 23 wherein the best three couples in each category will be selected for the final round which will take place at Indian Association, Sharjah on June 20 at 3 pm.
Awards
The winners of 6 to 12 years age group will be awarded 'Mayura Trophy', appreciation letter from Karnataka Sangha, Sharjah and will be felicitated with 'Mayura Kumara / Mayura Kumari' Awards.
The winners of 13 to 20 years age group will be awarded 'Mayura Trophy', appreciation letter from Karnataka Sangha, Sharjah and will be felicitated with 'Mayura Yuvaraja / Mayura Yuvarani' Awards.
The winners of 21 to 35 years age group will be awarded 'Mayura Trophy', appreciation letter from Karnataka Sangha, Sharjah and will be felicitated with 'Mayura Raja / Mayura Rani' Awards.
The winners of above 36 years age group will be awarded 'Mayura Trophy', appreciation letter from Karnataka Sangha, Sharjah and will be felicitated with 'Mayura Maharaja / Mayura Maharani' Awards.
The second and third place winners will be awarded with 'Mayura Trophy' and appreciation letter from Karnataka Sangha, Sharjah.
All the participants will be honoured with appreciation letters from Karnataka Sangha, Sharjah for their active participation.
All the choreographers of the dances will be adjudged, identified and the selected one will be honoured with 'Best Choreographer' Award on the stage with the title.
