Udupi, Jun 27: The CoD team led by DySP Anil reached city this morning for second round investigation of the nude parade case of Adi Udupi.
Hajabba and his son Hasanabba, two cattle traders, were paraded nude near the helipad at Adi Udupi on March 13, 2005 night by Bajrang Dal activists. Though the case had not caused much sensation in the beginning, it had taken the entire state by storm in the later days. The matter was discussed in the assembly session. It was condemned by one and all. Once the news hit the headlines, the police had arrested the accused and later the government had handed over the case to CoD.
Accordingly, CoD was investigating the case for the last one year. Now the team has come to city once again to enquire witnesses Hajabba, Hasanabba, Vithal, Dinesh Kini, Boggu alias Raveendra Shetty and Umesh Marpally.
