Karkala, Jun 27: A day-long shooting schedule for an animation film 'Bannada Balapa' at Sinchana, a home location and other places around Karkala. The film is being made by Prakash Kabettu, a cartoonist.

Fifteen children from Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts were selected to take part in the shooting.

The children come across a 'bannada balapa', a magic board of games, near a river. As the play on the board, yaksha or genie appears and challenges them in a scary manner. How the children stand up to his challenge and win over him forms the story of the movie.

Prakash Kabettu himself is looking after the animation and direction of the movie, under the banner of Cartoon Times and Four Genius.

At the inaugural shot, Sanoor Yuva Vrinda president Ganesh, journalists Dhanajaya Moodbidri and Shekar Ajekar, Kishan and others were present on the occasion.
