Kuwait: KCWA celebrates first holy communion

Kuwait, May 12: KCWA held its first holy communion party of its members' children for the eighth year in succession on Friday May 9. The celebration was held in the ICSK  auditorium, Khaitan.

Seven of members' children participated in the community celebration with KCWA  in the company of over 400 guests.


The children who participated were Aaron Xavier Gonsalves son of John Kiran Gonsalves and Joyline M A Gonsalves, Seldon Leon Martis son of Stanislaus Martis and Leena Martis, Renial D'Souza son of Oswald Rony D'Souza and Anitha Sandra D'Souza, Cassandra Ruth Sequeira daughter of Cliffy Edward Sequeira and Rekha Gracy Salis, Dylan Sequeira son of Peter Simon Sequeira and Reshma Jean Lewis, Andrea Megan Castelino daughter of Alphonsus Castelino and Meera Castelino and Jaden Floyd Pereira son of John Pereira and Felcy Benedicta Pereira.

After the MC of the evening Deepak Andrade welcomed the gathering, the first holy communicants came in a procession with candles and together cut the cake after the  prayer.

President Anil Fernandes welcomed the guests and gave spoke briefly on KCWA’s motto and achievements. Visiting priest Fr Romeo raised the toast, congratulated and  blessed all the first holy communicants.

Joyline  Gonsalves, on behalf of the parents, responded to the toast and thanked the KCWA for organizing a memorable celebration.

Fr Blany Pinto, parish priest of St Therese Church Salmiya, presented mementos to the children on behalf of KCWA.

Various games for children and adults were organized by Orson D'Souza and prizes were also given. All the guests enjoyed the scintillating music of popular DJ Live Rockers as they danced their hearts out.  Snacks, refreshments and delicious dinner were served by the Oriental Restaurant.

The well-organized get-together concluded with a baila dance session and finally with laudate.

Deepak Andrade compeered the event and Rinna D’Souza trained the communicants with prayer. Joyston D'Souza and Alger Mathias captured the event with their photographic skills while Alban D'Souza did the videograhpy. The backdrop was arranged by Joyston D'Souza and Reema D'Souza.

Reema D'Souza and Valerian Santhumayor coordinated the whole event with the support of KCWA committee members.
