Dubai: Yaksha Mitraru to present 'Yaksha Vaibhava' on June 6

Dubai, May 12: Yaksha Mitraru will be presenting 'Yaksha Vaibhava - 2014' on June 6 at Sheik Rashid Auditorium of Indian High School at Karama.

The troupe will present 'Maanishada', a historical Kannada Yakshangana play on the occasion.


The tickets for the event were released at function held at Fortune Classic recently.

Chidananda Poojary Vamanjoor of Yaksha Mitra, Dinesh Shetty and artistes Venkatesh Shastry and Dinesh Shettigar shared the dais with chief guest Daya Kirodian.

Daya Kirodian while releasing the invitations appreicated the service of the artistes to Yakshangana during the last eleven years and wished good luck for its upcoming anniversary event.

Classical musician Venkatesh Shastry stressed on the need to preserve and promote the art of Yakshagana and pass it on to the next generation and lauded Yasha Mitraru for putting in their efforts on this front. He requested wholehearted support from people and media in Dubai for the event.

Chidanand Poojary and Shekar Shettigar also spoke on the occasion and urged art lovers in Dubai to attend the programme in large numbers.

Dinesh Shetty welcomed the gathering as well as proposed the vote of thanks.

    Yaksha Mitraru doing a great job by promoting Yakshagana here in UAE. One small request - please start the program on time sharp at 4:30 PM and try to avoid lengthy, boring stage program.
