Mangalore, Jul 1: The Dakshina Kannada ZP has decided to suspend a teacher for misusing the student scholarships. The decision was taken during a meeting held here which was presided over by ZP president Mamata Gatti on Thursday June 29. ZP also decided to file a criminal case against the teacher.
The teacher in question was teaching at Padmunja Higher Primary School near Beltangady. However, ever since the scandal came to the surface, she has been absconding. Though she has been transferred to primary school at Kemmate, she has not yet reported to duty.
The said teacher has been accused of misusing the scholarships of SC and ST students during her service at Padmunja School.
