Ajman: Thumbay Moideen among Forbes top Indian leaders

Ajman, May 19: Forbes Middle East held an exclusive award ceremony and a gala dinner in the Godolphin Ballroom, Jumeirah Emirates Towers to celebrate and acknowledge the top Indian leaders in the Arab world.
Thumbay Moideen, founder-president of the Thumbay group was handed the prestigious award during the ceremony.
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, was the special guest of the evening who joined in the celebrations. His excellency T P Seetharam, ambassador of India to the UAE also attended the event as the guest of honor, along with Boris Collardi, CEO of Julius Baer group who partnered with Forbes Middle East on this special occasion.
After receiving the award Moideen said, ”Such honors and recognition add more responsibility to what we do. I strongly believe in the adage that ‘In the race for excellence, there is no finish line.’ I wish to thank Forbes Middle East for doing the honor.”
“It is also a reflection of the dedicated team effort of our entire organization. I wish to thank the rulers of this great country who support and encourage us in our endeavors. It is evident from the fact that more than 78% of the top leaders and business owners are based in the UAE,” he added.
Speaking after the event, Khuloud Al Omian, th editor-in-chief, Forbes Middle East and vice-president of Arab Publisher House, said, “Indian entrepreneurs and businessmen have played an enormous role in the continued development of the Arab world. Their passion, drive and expertise have blended with the regions own, creating a truly unique business environment.”
Speaking further, Al Omian added, “On behalf of the whole team at Forbes Middle East, I would like to congratulate all the 170 top Indian leaders and everyone involved for making the evening a success. As a country with the top Indian leaders, the UAE continues to provide an unrivalled platform that encourages extraordinary leaders and their businesses to flourish.”
Amongst the highlights of the evening was the unveiling of the latest issue of Forbes Middle East magazine, which included a comprehensive ranking of inspirational Indians, upon which the evening’ prestigious awards were based.
