The videoconference was arranged to mark Press Day, which was observed to remember the launch of "Mangalura Samachara", the Kannada first newspaper of the state.

The group of more than 25 journalists had participated in the Chief Minister's videoconference programme on Sunday. The poor signals were a disappointment.

The chief minister along with state information commissioner K R Tagore, senior journalist V N Subba Rao and VC of VTU, Balveer Reddy were present in Bangalore.

Blaming the organizers for their poor organizing skills, the journalists said that hurriedly the programme was arranged and adequate arrangements for the same were not done.
