Mangalore, Jul 3: A shop at Southerpet near Valencia was ransacked and the owner was attacked by some unidentified miscreants on Sunday July 2 night.

Abdul Rahim (38), a resident of Jayashree Gate near Bikarnakatta owned a shop at Southerpet.  On Sunday night, he was closing the shop when a 3-4 persons came to the shop and attacked Abdul with wooden clubs, cricket bat and wickets.

Thereafter they ransacked the shop damaging the showcase and other things.  After damaging several things in the shop, they fled the place on mobike.

Meanwhile reports said that Abdul Rahim who sustained serious injuries in the attack has been admitted to Wenlock Hospital.

The Pandeshwar police have registered a case in this regard.
