Mini bus crashes into a bank in Sharjah

Sharjah, May 20 (Emirates 247) : A mini bus crashed into the Faisal street branch of the Sharjah Islamic Bank after its Indian driver lost control of the vehicle but the accident caused no casualties.

The vehicle was moving on that road around 10 am on Monday when it suddenly swerved off the road and rammed into the front glass office before settling inside the office of the branch’s deputy manager.

The semi-official daily Alittihad said the car damaged contents of the office but caused no casualties, adding that police later towed away the vehicle.

“According to the police, the driver lost control of the vehicle for some reason…he was so confused that he then pressed the accelerator instead of the brakes,” it said.
