Mangalore: St Christopher association distributes books

Mangalore, May 22: St Christopher association, which was started for the welfare of the drivers and the vehicle owners,  distributed books to the children of its needy members. The association was started by late Bishop Basil D'Souza and late Fr Fred V Pereira in 1967 with 132 founder members.

The books were distributed under the presidentship of Raymond D'Cunha.










Francis Cutinho, the chairman of MCC bank was the chief guest and he distributed the books. He said, " Helping the needy is a noble work. This association has been doing it throughout. I am really impressed by the work and I wish to extend the help to the vehicle owners and drivers from the bank."

Fr J B Crasta, the spiritual director and treasurer opined that good work was a mission that was duly done by the association.

President Raymond Dcunha welcomed the gathering and the secretary, advocate Herald D'Souza Cassia proposed the vote of thanks.

Office bearers and executive members were present.
