Daijiworld News Network - Puttur (GA)

Puttur, Jul 4: "Akshata's murderer will be arrested soon.  Police have been trying to trace him and they have already got some useful information about his hide-out," said Western Range IGP Satyanarayana Rao.

He was speaking to reporters after visiting Akshata's house at Tarigudde near here on Tuesday July 4 morning.

He further said that 4 police teams have been constituted to gather information about accused Abdul Sattar.  While one of the teams has gone to one of the neighbouring states, the other has gone to Kasargod district.  Two more teams are continuing search operations in the districts, he added.

When he was asked about the deadline set by Hindu organizations to arrest the accused, he replied sarcastically. "We as a police force follow the Indian Penal Code.  It is the only authority over us.  We work under only the deadline of this Code.  Nothing and no one else can set deadline to us," he opined.
