Beltangady, Jul 6: Four people including the owner, took ill owing to leakage of cooking gas in a restaurant at Guruvayankere near here on Tuesday July 4 night.
The tragedy took place in Hotel Jyothi at Guruvayankere. As a result of the leakage, restaurant owner Jayram Bhat and restaurant staff Gunakara, Harish and Sudhakar took ill.
At first they were admitted to government hospital here. But later they were shifted to a private hospital in Mangalore for treatment.
No other damage or casualties have been reported.
