Mangalore, May 26: "The country is in a victorious mood, having witnessed political changes which the common man wanted. This victory (of BJP) is against corruption," said P Murali Manohar national president of ABVP (Akhila Bharathiya Vidhyarti Parishad).

He was addressing a session after inaugurating the four-days national executive council meet of ABVP at Sanghanikethan here on Monday May 26.

"We are not into politics; but being citizens of this country we have the responsibility of bringing political changes. The ABVP had participated in awareness programmes conducted for first time voters. As a result, this time 14 crore first time voters participated in the elections," he added.

"Our aim is not only bringing a political change but also social change. During this four-day meet resolutions on various issues like the national scenario, education, national security, security for women and the north east students all over India will be take. Based on the resolutions, we will place our demands before the new government.

"The north-east students are also the sons and daughters of Bharath Mata. All of us belong to one race. North-east students do not have qualition education institutions even after 60 years of independence."

He further said, "We are in favour of saffron ideology. The new government is also in favour of this ideology. This is not end, but the beginning. We will present our demands, the 12-point resolution to the new government.

Painting the country red is not going to help the cause. That will be the weakest point of the new government if they implement. Everyone will suffer.

    Saffron ideology !!!!

Please explain what is saffron ideology? From what we have seen when the BJP was in power in Karnataka, saffron ideology was
    1. Attacking churches,
    2. Attacking students for hanging out in pubs and home stays to celebrate happy occasions,
    3. Attacking couples who belonged to different religious backgrounds
    4. Attempting to curtail eating habits of minorities,
    5. Saffronizing education

    and much much more....
