Mangalore, Jul 7: Thieves broke into the Nityanand complex on Dongerkery opposite the Canara College on Thursday night and tried to loot four offices.

The Teachers' Cooperative Bank, a lawyers' office, Kadri Enterprises and the office of the Association of the Mangalore University College Teachers (AMUCT) were targeted by the miscreants.

A cash amount of Rs 40,000 has reportedly been taken away by them from the lawyers' office, while they did not succeed in getting any cash from the other offices because of securely kept locks.
