Dubai, May 29: In a glittering ceremony held at Atlantis hotel here, Thumbay Moideen, the founder president, Thumbay Group UAE was awarded a prestigious trophy as the ‘Emirates Business Ambassador for Healthcare and Education’.
The award was presented by His Highness Sheikh Juma Bin Maktoum Bin Juma Al Maktoum and was received by Akbar Moideen Thumbay, the director, Operations Healthcare Division of Thumbay Group UAE on behalf of the founder president.
The ceremony was attended by over 600 participants including the Excellencies, the high profile dignitaries and the executives from the government and the private organizations.
The recognition to the president in particular and the group in general was bestowed by an expert panel. Explaining the criteria, the awards committee said, "We choose international and local companies which have very high competitive standards to represent their fields as ambassadors. After a long study and research done by our committee, they highly recommend for us a list of companies from different sectors (government, semi-government, international and local) and this recommendation was based on high standards for excellence and accomplishments and who can provide trust-based services to the community."
Moideen said that Thumbay Group was focused on creating a niche by becoming a global business entity and scale up the business by at least ten times in the next 5 to 7 years.
"We have been at the right place in right time. UAE has grown exponentially in the last decade;thanks to the vision of the rulers and leadership of this great and beautiful country. Right from the beginning, we were focused with clear vision, especially in medical education and healthcare," he said.
He added, "We have provided the best education and quality healthcare that matches the best in Europe or USA, which generated loyal clientele. Added to this we have a very dedicated corporate team, highly qualified faculty and doctors who contributed to our success. We had a great support from the rulers and the ministries in all our endeavors."
