Provocative speech: Court issues arrest warrant against Togadia

Kasargod, May 31: Hosadurg court has issued an arrest warrant against VHP leader Praveen Togadia for making a provocative speech against a certain community during his visit to Kasargod on April 30, 2011.

The speech had sparked off clashes between two communities.

Earlier Hosadurg court had issued several summons to Togadia to appear in the court, but Togadia failed to do so.

It will be interesting to see if Togadia would be arrested and brought to Hosadurg court here.

Sources say that there are a few other cases also pending against Togadia for making inflammatory speeches in various places in the country.

    There should be a CBI enquiry on the allegation that Dr.Pravin Todadiya delivered inflamatory speech.It is likely that Communists are hell bent on to distrub/defame Dr.Thogadia by producing docotroed CD......CBi enquiry is the only solution to bring out the truth.

    I don't think it should be taken such a twist. All the parties including congis, BJPs, JDS ... all parties have done it. blaming, scolding , scremaing about other parties, party leaders. Especially this season election was the worst where it was more on scolding opponent than telling what the party has planned to do if they win. Same applies for all parties. It's better to mention all the bad and un ethical words used against our current the honourable PM.. they called him Narahanthaka , bhrashta... etc etc. But what happened ultimately. BJP Won with flying colours. now does the above step means all the party leaders are to be arrested and jailed ? It's the evidence that proved they could see the dreams to public and won. What ever it is, same tactis even all other parties tried. Some how, people accepted BJP and made them win with such a major mejority. So, let's not dig and dig our own grave.

    Why to arrest these kind of people??? They will get clean chit in few days & become hero in front of their blind followers!

    Just tag them as 'Mentally Retired' & neglect them.

    There were lot of FIRs filed against Kalladka Problematic Bhat for same reason... what is the outcome? Nothing...!!!

    Some people exist just to create problems & spoil peaceful atmosphere of the society.

    VHP, Bajrang Dal, Shiv Sena and MNS have been making provocative speeches with immunity. Recently, in one of the Muslim forums, I heard a muslim leader said that after Modi became CM in Gujarat, there was complete silence of VHP and Bajrang Dal and if they did, Modi would have put them in Tihar.
    Whether it is true or not, I do not know. But, there is a ray of hope that Modi may not allow this nonsence to happen. That is my wishful thinking.

    A citizen in America can contact his congressman and senator easily over the phone or write a letter and expect a reply from the office. So far in India that is not possible. What is possible is Indians living in Western countries may have more influence on PM Modi and certainly those people can ask him to control these sick minded people with iron fist so that he can rule India peacefully many more years. He need not fight Congress or any other regional parties. If this happens India in line of a super power.
