Neighbour rapes 9-yr-old

Bangalore, Jun 2, 2014, DHNS: A nine-year-old girl was allegedly raped in Hale Chandapura under Hebbagodi police station limits on the outskirts of the City on Saturday evening.

Her body was found on the premises of a government school on Sunday morning.

Police suspect that she was murdered. Her 19-year-old neighbour is the suspect, police added.

According to police, the victim’s father is a conductor with the BMTC, while her mother is a housewife.

On Saturday evening, the girl was playing with her younger sister near her house in Hale Chandapura.

The accused, Trishul, 19, and his parents live in the adjoining house and the two families were close to each other.

Lured with chocolate

The police said Trishul, a private company employee, noticed the girl playing and took her to the nearby Thirumagondanahalli government school on the pretext of buying her chocolates.

He took her to the toilet behind the school building and raped her.

The accused then returned home.

It was getting dark and the girl’s parents panicked as their daughter had not returned home.

They looked for her all around, but in vain. In the night, they lodged a missing complaint at the Hebbagodi police station.

Suspect admits crime

On questioning the girl’s neighbours, the police came to know that she was last seen playing with her sister.

Her sister told the police that Trishul had taken her out to buy her chocolates. The police questioned Trishul on Sunday morning.

He told them that he took the girl to the school and raped her and had left her alone there. When the police went to the spot along with the suspect, they found the girl’s body.

A police officer said that there were no external injuries on the body.

So, it is suspected that the accused might have choked her to death after raping her or she might have died due to the impact of the sexual assault.

The police also suspect that Trishul might have warned the girl not to reveal the incident to anyone and the scared girl might have killed herself.

“As it was Saturday evening, no one was on the school premises and so the incident went unnoticed,” the officer said.

The girl’s body has been sent to the Victoria Hospital for post mortem. The accused is in police custody and they are questioning him.

I felt like responding today also on this topic. I hear a lot of such incidents, almost one or more daily. But no where we hear the punishments given to these culprits. not even one per week or month. Why is that. Are they still left free because of influence, political power, money... Are all such social evils will have such high background ? I don't think so. Imagine the count of such crimes which i mentioned above and no verdicts heard at all. It's only we few people write comments, show our pain, recommend so many suggestions, improvement steps which can be adopted. but no ears it reach I trust. Or else why no news, at least few verdicts which pushed these social evils to death sentence or life time prison ?

Dear.. this reminds of Mr. Mulayam Singh Yadav's statement... "youngsters make mistakes.. death penalty for raping should not be the punishment.."
see the results.. after his comments, there had not only rape but also Murder!!!
We cannot change the people unless our System is perfect...
I am not pointing to any party or community or religion here.. just reminding the people that these are the rulers of India. They are allowing people to commit sins!!!

Time to introspect about our thinking

Plz dont compare our society to American or european culture for law. They are less populated with vast counties with isolated societies with less diversity

We are diverse county with huge population and too close social and emotional connections

    what we need to think

1.On one end can we encourage immodesty in main stream media (even enjoy porn stars entry in bollywood)and on the other end we blame the corruption in the mindset of our people culture for respecting women

2.On one end we encourage giving licences to these liquor mafaias which open their shops near hospitals/schools/residential areas and now u got muti variety in madhur loka huge outlets and its a prestige for even young girls to buy try each different one on every saturday nigh with their BF on the other end we complain that the rapists are mostly under the influence of alcohol

3)One one end we encourage freedom of internet and other end we blame pronography

Its high time we revist our cultural values they actually regulate restrict and allow to peacefully coexist with their own limitations and freedom. Our Divine Islamic,Vedic..etc teachings can bring us back on track.

Dont follow the west or Rest our Indian religion cultures which stops these three main Problems are the best solutions
    a) STOP Pronography
    b)Discourage IMMODESTY
    c)DISRESPECT Alcohol users

It just hurts thinking of your own sisters /daughters/mothers

"The police also suspect that the scared girl might have killed herself."

Have we recruited NUTS into police force? Or is the reporter nuts? She is a 9 year old girl. Some means are required to kill self, one can't wish death sitting at a spot.

We read/report NEWS. There is no sensitivity attached.
Two girls are raped / murdered in UP, and the police there have been most insensitive.

Are these men/women in police force not raised in homes? Are they not imparted training while joining duty? Where did they lose their inner self?

Is our police force / media lost fully in the chakkar of politics, communality, language and regional issues?

Is there some human left in their 'lives'.

what a tragedy. I can not control my anger as well as tears. What a pain this little child might have gone through. How can a human being can ute such a brutal crime, with a neighbouring girl. Where are we ? Really scary situation. Hope this culprit is sentenced with a life time or death sentence. Really. he doesn't carry the eligibility to be in this society. Please. I beg everybody, please don't support this guy in any matter. Let the investigation be uted properly and once confirmed he is the culprit, either you hand over him to public or you police ensure he gets a death sentence. Still a little girl is no more and paid no mistake of hers. RIP
