Bangalore, Jun 3: In a bizarre incident, a woman who had just undergone a successful surgery died in the post-operative care unit of a hospital after her bed broke!
Noorjahan (60) was admitted to Ambedkar Medical College Hospital, KG Halli here for hernia treatment four days ago.
After undergoing a successful surgery on Sunday June 1 night, she was shifted to the post-operative care unit of the hospital. Her doctor had declared that the sugery went well and she would recuperate.
However, at around 3:30 am, the bed Noorjahan was sleeping on suddenly crashed. Her family members who were with her watched in shock as Noorjahan died on the spot.
It is said that prior to the incident, her family members had expressed concerns over the condition of the bed and informed the hospital staff about it. The hospital however did not take it seriously, sources said.
