Kundapur, Jun 3: Sri Vimalananda Swamiji of Kollur Nityananda Ashram passed away on Monday June 2. Due to his demise, the devotion in the temple at night has become difficult.

The problems relating to rituals, customs and such other practices have made the group prayers at the temple come to a halt.

If the death occurs within the temple the last rites have to be held outside it as per ancient practices.

However the followers of the late Swamiji have insisted that the mortal remains be buried in the ashram. The dispute has landed in the office of the deputy commissioner who will be deciding the future course of action.

The temple comes under Mujzai department.
