Mangalore: SAC hosts orientation for first PU students

Mangalore, Jun 5: "The personality of the students cannot be measured by their marks alone. The creation of ideal young generation is possible only when their minds are strengthened," said Fr Denzil Lobo, the rector of St Aloysius educational institutions.

He was speaking at the orientation programme for the first Pre University students held on Monday June 2 in the college. 


"Actual education is the exposure of the development of inner talent. The education that teaches one to live is the real education," he said.

He added, "Mere memorization of lessons is not the real education."

Fr Melvin Mendonca presided over the programme. 

Vice principal Rekha K Alva, college dean Dr Ganesh Amin, Dr Pradeep M, Shalet D'Souza and Muralikrishna were present.

Professor Sabina Manjunath and Roopa S compered. 

Nearly 1.5 thousand students participated.
