DB Chandregowda, Rama Jois may become governors

Bangalore, Jun 8 (DHNS) : The State BJP unit is learnt to have recommended the names of former minister D B Chandre Gowda and Rajya Sabha member Rama Jois to the central leadership for appointment to the posts of governors.


According to party sources, detailed bio-data of the two leaders have been forwarded to the central leadership. Jois has already served as Governor of Bihar and Jharkhand. Chandre Gowda, who served as Bangalore North MP, was not fielded in the Lok Sabha polls. The seat was won by D V Sadananda Gowda.

    mr.chandregowda.d.b is excellent choice of governor's post. because he is very good constitutional and legal expert in karnataka political field.and also he is one of the very clean and non-corrupt politician in Indian politics.

    DB Chandre Gowda is an excellent choice as he has vast administrative experience both when in Congress & when with BJP as MP. He is an articulate speaker & is a statesman...So is Rama Jois who is an elderly statesman & has been in the gubernatorial post earlier too..

    Further to my previous reply:

    Indiramma got elected in Chickmangalur, but totally ignored the people of the region here.

    British had completed railway line till Kadur in 1930s. Since chickmlr is the coffee bastion and could generate lots of revenue for them, they had plans to lay railway tracks between Kadur and Chickmlr & Chickmlr to Doddamangalore. Due to the constraints offered by the hills they could not do these lines since they did not have required technologies.

    Due to the efforts of US Mallya Doddamangalore got railway tracks from Bangalore.

    It was a 5-6 decade old demand to have rail line between Kadur and Chickmangalur. People thought 1970-80's their dream will be fulfilled since they elected PM candidate from the region. But after getting elected from here she never looked back at the people of the region. Railway dream still remained dream for chickmangaloreans.

    But when HDD became PM in 1996 he sanctioned Bangalore-Hassan, Kadur-Chikmangalur, Chickmangalore-Sakleshpur railway lines. All three went in snail speed. Out of these 3, only Kadur-Chikmangalur line was completed last year.

    Now the rest of this story will be interesting. Kharge inagurated Kadur-Chikmangalur line on Indiramma's birthday "NOVEMBER 19th" in chickmangalur though the station was incomplete and said it was Indiramma who initiated this project in 1980s. Unfortunately the real initiator was not invited for the inauguration.

    Look how dongis take the advantages of the work done by others. The inauguration of railway line on NOV 19th was their election agenda to fool people of chickmangalur and to get their votes. Udupi-Chickmangalur MP lost miserably by 1.8 lakhs.

    Moral of the story: You can't fool people of Karnataka where literacy rate is more than 70%.

    Rama Joisa had been Judge in Supreme Court & has been held high in respects, while Chandre Gowda is politician with over 30 years of experience.
    Both should be given Governor post for different states as both are able persons & are a potential resource.

    DB CHANDRE GOWDA has edge on RAMA JOIS as Mr Gowda deserves the post more than him because,a seasoned politician statesman,Gowda has vast experience in state and Central politics being MLA,MP,Speaker and Party leader of CONGRESS and BJP.

    Governor position is highly respectable position.Only diginifed persons should be given this post like Scientists,Ex-High court judges,Ex-Lokayukta's or people who served for nation.

    Hope this position will not be used by the politicians to fullfill their political wishes.
