Dubai, Jun 8: 'Maa Creations', a well-known Konkani organization in Dubai which supports Konkani literature, songs and poems of great Konkani authors will be presenting a unique Konkani dream project titled 'Konkani Sobhann' on June 13 at the Bangalore Empire hall from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm. The programme, which will consist of Konkani literature, music, poetry and novels, will provide a delectable treat to Konkani enthusiasts.

The grand event will be inaugurated by well-known Konkani literary personality and winner of Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy Award Dr Edward Nazareth from Mangalore, accompanied by Walter Nandalike, editor-in-chief of Daijiworld, Ramachandra Hegde, director, Spraytech Conracting LLC, Satish Venkataramana, MD, Chilly Willy Trading Co LLC, and Melwyn D’Cunha, former president, MCC Bank, Mangalore.
The day-long programme will consist of four sessions - Literary session, language session, poetry, and songs and entertainment session. A few well-known Konkani personalities in the above fields are expected to take part in the Konkani extravaganza.
The grand concluding ceremony will be presided over by Dr Edward Nazareth and attended by prominent personalities of UAE namely Joseph Mathias of Merit Freight Systems Co LLC , Dayan D’Souza, founder president o Daiji Dubai, Frank Fernandes of Mosaco Shipping & Forwarding LLC, Mark Denis D’Souza of Fortuna Engineering and Energy Services LLC and Walter Nandalike of Daijiworld and Abdul Rehman, a businessman from Bhatkal.
Special attraction of the event will be Gumta songs presented by Wilson Pinto and group from Abu Dhabi and golden numbers of yesteryears rendered by well-known singers from UAE, namely Dony Correa, Asha Correa, Preema D’Souza and Godwin D’Souza. The music will be provided by Arun Carlo and team, Dubai. 'Dekhni' by Rapael Rodrigues and Savio Fernandes, Goa, and
'Bhashe Sobhann' presented by Sannu Monis, Sudarshan Hegde, Wilson Pinto and Preema D’Souza will be among the other highlights.
'Kavya Sobhann' will be recited by prominent poets, namely Robert Fernandes, Syed Abubakker, Harish Shenoy, Gavin Rebello, Stany Bela, Arthur Pereira and Puis James.
Popular emcee Roshan D’Silva will be the compere for the entire day of 'Konkani Sobhann'. Maa Creations invites all Konkani lovers to attend this grand show in large numbers.
