Mangalore, Jun 9: In more sorrow for the minor girl who was allegedly raped for a month by her father, the girl's mother was on Sunday June 8 arrested for reportedly beating her.

Vittal (44), the 15-year-old girl's father, a resident of Mulky's KSR Nagar, was arrested by the Mulky police on Friday June 6 after the girl lodged a complaint against him alleging that he had repeatedly raped her. He was sent to judicial custody for 15 days.

On Sunday, the girl's mother Revati reportedly chided her for filing complaint against her father and demanded to know why she revealed about the rape to her aunt (Vittal's sister). The girl replied that she had not said anything to her aunt, at which the mother grew furious and accused her daughter of telling lies and answering back.

Revati then allegedly slapped her daughter and beat her up with a wooden stick.

Based on the girl's complaint, the Mulky police arrested Revati.

Revati is among the two wives of Vittal. Altogether, he has five children including the victim.

The girl has shown exceptional courage to make sure her horrible parents are arrested. I hope they remain in jail for ever. However, the girl will have to be helped to be independent..

I wonder if this site can somehow enable to donate money for the girl's future (so that only she can withdraw). In the past, this site has done commendable job in helping so many needy people - thank you

Going through the entire episode/incident it heightens doubts to think weather Vittal is a real father of the victim or she was born to Revati out of her illegal relation with some other man. These types of low morale and lawless people may not have any ethics and human values of life.
These ruthless parents should be punished accordingly. The days ahead would not be easy for the poor girl. She may have to face unforeseen consequence from the fake parents. God help this hapless girl and show her a way to live safely in the future.

@ Ali Dubai, you are right.but when one is uneducated doesn't mean one should be moral less. Our parents also were uneducated but they were Aware of Moral,to respect women and own children.they knew difference between blood-relationship and a outsider.whether they drank alcohol or dry they never (fast)indulged in pedophile Action.I can only say better be a orphan als not having such parents.you dont Need a shatru when you have such parents.still I pity this Young Girl .we wish her all the best

clearly defines the society we are in. This bugger married two two ladies and having 5 children. seeing the major crime he has done, all those chota mota crimes he has done... marrying 2 women... having kids from both the women... all these are neglected. So, when a person is allowed to break law , even a small law, he ends up taking law light and ends up doing such major crimes. clear mirror image of the society we are heading towards... unless something really changes, we will the most dangerous country to live. I bet you. Today only I read another incident where an unknown guy entered a PG and raped a girl in bangalore. So many rapes, crimes, accidents.. but authorities, police... everybody is silent. except we few commentators who write so many recommendations, improvements... but hardly its heard. Those were the days when we were in bangalore , working for similar IT companies... any time girl or boy used to start for their jobs, every morning cabs they used to pick up, late night s, reaching bangalore early mornings on Monday usually coming from home town..Friday elaving back late nights to their home towns... PGs were so safe... now with in few years ( may be a decade, but worst during recent 5 to 6 years )... it's changed so much.. bangalore nor mangalore... nor India as a country ( by seeing recent rapes ) is safe country for women.

Really pathetic, and only sick people can do such things to their own children.
Where are the so called Moral Police now? No Moral Police, no Community Leaders, no Human Rights Groups, and no Political Parties are concerned about this kind of social evil.
These are the cases they should take on board their agenda, which is really an evil for the society. Instead of creating havoc in the society by thrashing the young generation and destroying the public property, if the Moral Police take such issues into their agenda, then their work will be fruitful for the betterment of the society.
I request all such organizations to concentrate on educating people and fight against such social evils in the society. Then only Acheh Din Ayenge!

feeling extremely poor for the girl. she's raped by own father, beaten by mother, and also facing police inquiry, relatives inquiry oh...
Being a girl, she almost lost her parents in this early age and also forced to face society.
    Allah, save that sister.......

Declining moral values, lust, drugs, hatred, courage gained in riots, are all reasons for this type of evil in the society.

It is like gradually setting the forest on fire, once it is spread, almost impossible to control.
    Many developing nations are ruined.

Unfortunately, when are our chosen leaders term Rapes as 'deliberate action or accidental' and 'sometimes good and sometimes bad' there is little hope to seek justice in rape cases in our country. I wish we followed the Iranian or the Saudi laws to deal with cases like this.
