Shakleshpur : Yethinahole project: villagers oppose survey

Shakleshpur, June 15: The villagers of Kadagaravalli, Shakleshpur opposed the survey work for the proposed Yethinahole project.

When the officials arrived on the spot for survey, several villagers gathered and surrounded the officials. It is also said that there was heated discussion between the villagers and officers.

A farmer, Subash speaking talking to daijiworld said, "We did not get any authentic notice from the government. The officials are taking up the survey work but we are not ready to give our farm lands. Without considering the people this initiative has been taken."

As the officers faced it difficult to cope with the situation they had to flee from the spot. It is also said there were eight officers who had arrived on the spot to undertake the survey work.
