Mangalore: House collapses due to heavy rains, sea erosion

Mangalore, June 15: A RCC house worth Rs 25 lacs belonging to Chandrashekar Uchila, a  gram panchayath member under Someshwara Panchayath collapsed due to heavy rainfall from the past five days.   
        
However, the family escaped unhurt. 

The houses of Balakrishna Uchil, Vishwa Uchil, Nagesh Uchil, Ismail Uchil, Sabita Uchil, Indira S Uchil, Bharath Uchil, Narayan Uchil, Devappa Uchil, Rohini Uchil, Shalini Uchil, Santhosh Uchil, Chandra Uchil, Chandrashekar Uchil, Lakshman Uchil, Roopesh Uchil, Sanjiv Uchil, Chandappa Uchil, Sitamma Uchil, Vasanthi Chandrashekar Uchil, Kishor M Uchil, Kamala Uchil, Guddappa, Lalita and Press Chandrappa's are in danger.

Apart from this, 25 illegally built resorts and the 15 houses located near Summer Sands resort are also in danger.

Residents have complained that the government and the local counsellor have not responded to their problems.
