B'lore: Capuchin Provincialate celebrates Holy Trinity feast

Bangalore, June 18: Saccidananda, the Capuchin Provincialate, situated in Rajajinagar, Bangalore, celebrated its patron’s day on the feast day of the Most Holy Trinity on Sunday June 15.

The Holy Eucharist began at 6 pm and Fr Stany D’souza, SJ, Provincial, Karnataka Jesuit Province was the main celebrant of the Eucharist and Capuchin priests along with many priests from different congregations celebrated the Holy Eucharist.


The celebrant Fr Stany D’souza, SJ, in his inspiriting homily, stressed the importance of the Holy Trinity in the life of a true Christian. He said, "As a mother in the family plays different roles in the upbringing of a child, the Holy Trinity too plays its role in the growth of a Christian." The superior of Saccidananda community, Fr Joachim D’souza, thanked Fr Stany D’souza SJ for presiding and also thanked all the benefactors, friends and well wishers of the Capuchins in particular, who were present for the ceremony.

Fr Joseph Dolphy Pais, Provincial Minister of Capuchins of the Holy Trinity Province, Karnataka, on this occasion, felicitated Fr Stany D’souza SJ and gave a message to the gathered faithful.

The beautiful artistic altar decoration was done by Fr Deepak Fernandes and the melodious choir was led by Fr Salvadore Fernandes with the help of Theology brothers from Darshan Institute of Theology, Kengeri.

As a token of gratitude and fellowship, a sumptuous dinner was served to all the guests who witnessed this occasion.
