Mangalore, Jun 22: “Mahamasthakabhisheka of Bhagawan Sri Bhahubali will be held in the year 2015 with great pomp and joy. It is a feast that comes once in 12 years,” said Dr M N Rajendra Kumar, the president, Sri Jaina Dharma Jeernodhara Sangha ®, at a press meet on Saturday June 21 at the Conference Hall of the head office of SCDCC Bank.

“Bahubali Sannidhi is a famous tourist attraction in coastal Karnataka and is popularly known by the name Jaina Kaashi. Installed in the year 1432 by the grace of Lalitha Keerthi Muni, the Bahubali idol at Jaina Kaashi stands second in entire Karnataka. Along with the huge idol of Bahubali, the place is also well-known for a great view of the sunrise and sunset. The mahamasthakabisheka, a religious ritual, will be held in January-February 2015,” he added.

“As the event is an important and grand one, the venue needs to be prepared for the festival over a longer period. With regard to the setting up of the venue and for other decisions, a pre-preparation discussion meet is to be held on June 29, 2014, from 10.30 am at Karkala Bhagwan Sri Bahubali Pravachana Mandira Daanashaale. Paramapoojya Rajaguru Jnanayogi Swasthi Sri Lalita Keerthi Bhattaraka Pattacharyavarya of the Jaina Muth will take up the discussion presided over by ‘Rajashri’ Dr D Veerendra Hegde,” said Dr Kumar.
