Mangalore, Jun 24: A youngster was killed in a serial accident at Mukka junction here on Tuesday June 24 night.

The deceased has been identified as Dulshak Ahamed (19), son of Abdul Razak, a resident of Suratkal who owns a chicken stall.

Dulshak's younger brother Sahik was injured in the accident.

It is said that Dulshak and Sahik were near the Mukka junction in their Honda Eterno, when a speeding Tata Ace came on the wrong side and hit a Maruti Zen car head-on. Their Eterno got sandwiched in between the two vehicles, resulting in Dulshak's death and causing injury to his brother.

The Tata Ace was moving from Mangalore to Udupi while the Zen was coming towards Mangalore from Udupi.

Dulshak was a student of St Aloysius College, while Sahik is a first-year student at Govinda Dasa College.

A case has been registered in Suratkal traffic police station.

It all starts when one learns to drive.Let there be good driving schools who not only teach how to drive from point A to point B , BUT TO DO IT WITH SAFE AND RESPONSIBLE DRIVING..STRICTLY OBSERVE TRAFFIC RULES AND SPEED LIMITS AND DEFENSIVE DRIVING ..ALLL THESE THINGS CAN HELP TO SAVE SOME UNTIMELY DEATHS IF NOT ALL

No one is bothered about driving on the wrong side. Kottara Chowki, Suratkal, Mukka, Muloor, Kaup and other places, vehicles are simply driven on the wrong side. Please crack them down, otherwise many lives will be lost.

To some extent, I agree with you. But at the same time, its our, public duty to reduce the speed while driving. This accident was not happened due to Oscaranna/Kadarjee/shobakka and any other politicians but because of driving in high speed in a wrong way. Because we want to reach early instead of thinking the negative impact on it!
