Udupi: Youth Congress protests against rail fare hike

Udupi, Jun 25: Udupi district Youth Congress held a protest on Wednesday June 25 at Indrali railway station against the recent rail fare hike, by stopping the Rajadhani Express train for half an hour.

Former union minister Oscar Fernandes said in his address, "BJP leaders have failed to guage people’s reaction. In the state, people have begun to raise their voice against the increasing prices. This is only the beginning."

He further said that he had placed several demands regarding inflation, but they were not implemented successfully.

"The budget session of the parliament will start on July 7 and on July 8 the railway budget will be announced. There is not enough discussion regarding these matters," he added.

He demanded that the fare hike should be revoked and said that BJP MPs were ashamed of their party because of the price hike.

Sunil Bangera, Udupi-Chikmagalur Youth Congress president, Udupi constituency Youth Congress president Vikas Shetty, Janardhan Bhandarkar, INTUC district president Murali Shetty, Yathish Karkera, Vishwas Amin, Kiran Kumar Udyavar, Sairaj Kotian, Melwin D’Souza, KPCC member Dinesh Puthran and others were present.

    let us first be very clear with what was Said by Modiji "Acche Din Aane wale hain" and NOT "Saste Din aane waale hain"

    If one believes in Inclusive growth they would support this cause. Railways reported a loss of 25,000 Cr last year and if they continue that same way it probably will go for Bankruptcy and may even shut down operations. It employs around 1.4 Million people.
    Did you ever think about that ? if it stops operation all these people will have no job and country will have a bigger problem to solve due to unemployment.
    Think if you were an employee of an organization and were in the list to get sacked and 10 good people around you came forward and said that they can take a pay cut so that you can retain your job wouldn't that be wonderful ?
    Think about that 1.4 mil people now can't you pay an extra 14 Rupees to save their job ?

    ..In UPA Govt there was a Railway minister from TMC party whose name is DINESH TRIVEDI..he hiked rail fare & next day MAMATA forced him out of office..the same day DINESH TRIVEDI said "if political parties didnt stop politicising fare hike & rescue Railway, railway will see fate of AIRINDIA which will be disaster for INDIA since there is no alternative..he also pointed out that a bold decission needed sooner or later otherwise it will be unimaginable disaster for INDIA..this is the words of UPA minister..please remember opposition will cry/protest but it is in the interest of ruling party to take a stand without worrying about votes..the vision less/deaf & dumb UPA leadership for the power brought nation to verge of collapse..It is also revealed that just day before quitting office, UPA has released 200 crores to the NGO which is indirectly run by Congresmen!!!

    1. Jawaharlal Nehru ruled as pm for 16 years 286 days.
    2. Indira ghandhi ruled as pm for 15 years 91 days.

    There were lots of jobless ,kaam chor jokers in Mangalore during the BJPian rule in Karnataka.Few of them moved to places like Amsterdam,Singapore,Canada,Dubai,Sj.Some of them involved in illegal activities/moral policing in the name of Senas ,Dalas and so on.
    After change in Govt at the centre,tho had promised employment opportunities ,unemployment has increased.If possible the jokers/monkeys moved to other countries may provide them jobs.
    If not, stick on to the pre election promises .

    seriously - look at that train, looks beaten down, not just that train, entire infrastructure needs upgradation & we dont to let that happen. We then tend to expect the world class facilities everywhere we go, how is that possible unless you make these self sufficient? can you believe an organization which collects money in advance , always full in all the routes still makes thousands of crores of losses.. railways need improvement and if it costs, it costs.

Congies looted India for several years, they sensed defeat & created several traps to new Government. So, that no one will improve the situation or develop India. This Congies should don't know the meaning of shame. Mr.Oscar not talking about our karavali highway work which he was in-charge. During Congi ruling , he was not visiting to Karavali. Now jobless looted enough & coming to join cheap protest with only 40 members. He even don't have common sense,by blocking train he is created inconvenience to hundreds of passengers in the train.This is an offence as per Indian law. I am not supporting any Political party but let us give some time to new government & see. If they fails Indian public will kick them out like they did to Congress scam party. Everyone knows how they trapped AAM Aadmi Party in Delhi.!!
