Udupi, Jul 25: A lorry and a private passenger bus collided near the entrance arch of Subrahmanya temple at Santur off Padubidri on Monday morning around 8-30.
The mishap occurred on the Padubidri-Kudremukh state highway. The bus was plying to Karkala and the lorry towards Kudremukh.
Lorry driver Suresh (24), bus driver Ratnakar (36), bus passengers Vasanti (45) of Santur, Natalia D'Mello (65) of Nitte, Ganesh Kutyar (25), Harish Nandikur (38), checking agent of the bus Navish Kutyar, and students studying in different schools in BelmanShweta Nandikur (13), Prajwal Nandikur (13), Ashrian D'Souza (17) of Santur, are among the injured. They are under treatment in private and government hospitals in Padubidri.
The Padubidri police are following up the case.
