Mangalore, Jun 26: The Muslim Educational Institutions Federation (R) (MEIF®) started a two-day training programme for high school teachers on Wednesday June 25 and Thursday June 26 in Mangalore.
Prof Raghavendra, Poornaprajna College, Udupi, was the resource person on Wednesday at Sahodaya Hall, Balmatta.
Prof Raghvendra spoke on the topic ‘Maths-Real Numbers’.
Before speaking on the topic, he said, “When a student finds Maths difficult in PUC, it is understood that the student did not get quality education in the high school. So, it is better to teach them in the early stages rather than encountering difficulties in the later stages.”
Y Mohammed Beary, president, (MEIF®), said, “Drastic change in the subjects at the high school level in view of the implementation of the national curriculum framework as per the RTE Act, has made it tough and teachers require training on the subjects. The two-day training programme will help the teachers to know the depth of the subject.”
He also said that in the upcoming days there will be training for the teachers on topics like Physics-Space Science, Physics-Gas Laws, and Maths-Probability. “Professor Ramesh Bhat from Bhuvanendra College, Karkala, Prof Venkatesh Bhat, Vijaya College, Mulky, and Prof Udaya, St Philomena College, Puttur, will talk on these topics,” added Beary.
