Udupi, Jul 27: Rohan Pai (22) who had sustained serious injuries in road accident at Brahmavar on Sunday July 23, succumbed to injuries in a private hospital here on Wednesday July 26 morning.
As reported earlier Rohan had sustained injuries in his head after being knocked down by APM private bus in front of the Holy Family Church at Brahmavar on Sunday morning. Though he had been rushed to Mahesh Hospital immediately, he had been then shifted to KMC Hospital at Manipal on the same day.
Though there were no visible injuries, he had acute haemorrhage since he had fallen on the tarred road. His injuries could be attributed to the fact that he was not wearing a helmet too.
Earlier report in this column had stated his name as Sohan. But later it was confirmed that his name was Rohan, son of B Sathish Pai who is an official with Corporation Bank zonal office here. Rohan had completed his Bachelors degree in Engineering from Hassan.
The Brahmavar police have registered a case in this regard.
