Mangalore, Jun 30: The Urwa police on Sunday June 29 arrested four teenagers in connection to the theft of a motor bike which occurred in the city in April this year.
A motor bike parked in the compound of St Gregorius Syrian Church on J B Lobo Road, Kottara in the city, had gone missing in April. During their routine check on a road located in the rear side of Infosys Technologies at Kottara here, the police saw a motor bike carrying two persons, with illegible number plate. As the duo failed to give convincing replies to their questions, the police took the two the police station and questioned.
Ashwin (18) and Ganesh (19), residents of Akashbhavan, who were on the motor bike, confessed that the motor bike had been stolen by them from the compound of the said church. They also revealed about the participation of other two youngsters in the theft. Based on this information, Prajwal (18) from Kottara Chowki and Shoaib (19) from Kavoor were arrested by the police.
All the accused were arrested by a team comprising police sub-inspector, Ravishankar, and produced in the court. They were remanded in judicial custody till July 10.
