Mangalore, Jul 27: A five-day training for adolescent peer volunteers was inaugurated at Prajna Counselling Centre at Kankanady here on Thursday July 27 morning.
The training programme was inaugurated by Dakshina Kannada ZP president Mamatha Gatti. The training programme has been organized by Nehru Yuva Kendra Sanghatan in association with United Nations Populations Fund.
The training will be held till Monday July 31 and volunteers from Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Orissa and Karnataka are participating in the training.
Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) zonal director Cheluvaraju, health and family welfare officer Jagannath, Devdas Rai of IMA, Radhakrishna Nair, regional coordinator of NYK, Kerala, Satheese, regional coordinator, NYK, Mysore and CJF D'Souza, NYK, coordinator were also present on the dais.
