Mangalore, Jul 27: A rider was killed after his mobike collided with a lorry in front of the government college at Mulur near Gurpur here on Wednesday July 26.
The deceased has been identified as Yakoob (35), a resident of Kuppepadv. He was knocked down by a recklessly driven lorry. As a result he fell on the road and sustained serious injuries. Though he was rushed to the hospital almost immediately, he died on the way.
The eye-witnesses said that reckless driving by the lorry driver resulted in the fatal accident.
Bajpe police have registered a case against the lorry driver in this regard.
