Mangalore, Jul 27: Citizens from Bikarnakatta and Nantur vicinity, on Thursday morning, held a silent rally and demonstration to protest over the condition of roads there and resultant traffic congestion.
Vasant Kumar Shetty led the rally, which highlighted the hardships faced especially by students to cross the road. Students are being forced to leave home very early just to make up for the time wasted in crossing the roads near Nantur junction.
The horrible condition of the roads has been causing slow traffic and congestion, which has made it difficult for pedestrians to cross or walk by the side of the roads, the agitators said.
