Mangalore, Jul 28: The Academy of Tenku Tittu Yakshagana (ATTY), to be based in the national capital Delhi, will be inaugurated by Lok Sabha speaker Somnath Chatterji on July 31.

The inaugural function will be held in the auditorium of Karnataka Sangha, Delhi, with T Shyam Bhat, Karnataka's endowments commissioner, former Udupi DC and a Yakshagana supporter himself presiding over.

Senior Yakshagana exponents, experts, scholars and researchers like Dr Purushottam Bilimale, Dr M Prabhakar Joshi, Dr Raghava Nambiar, Prof M L Samaga and artistes including Puttige Raghuram Holla, Chippar Krishnayya Ballal, Padyana Shankaranarayana Bhat and Padyana Jayaram Bhat, Kumble Sundar Rao, K Govinda Bhat, Sampaje Sheenappa Rai, Perody Narayana, Shridhar Bhandary, Ujire Ashok Bhat and others will take part in the function.

Documentary and demonstrative presentations on Tenku Tittu format of Yakshagana also will be held during the event.

The scholars and artistes will also deliberate on the set-up, working plan and future course of action for the proposed Academy.

All Yakshagana lovers and enthusiasts in and around Delhi are requested to attend the function.
