Dubai, Jul 1: In the run up to the finals of Gulf Voice of Mangalore Season 4, Mangalore Konkans Dubai will be holding the UAE level semi-final round on September 26 (Friday). In the preliminary round held on May 16, six top men and six top women were selected to vie for an opportunity to represent UAE in the finals of Gulf Voice of Mangalore to be held in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman on November 7 this year.
The following exceptional singers were selected during the keenly contested prelims:

Speaking to Daijiworld, James Mendonca, president of Mangalore Konkans Dubai said, "We witnessed a highly competitive Konkani Gayan Spordho recently. We began preparations for the semi-finals of GVOM Season 4 right after the selection of semi-finalists. With the kind of talents in the UAE we are very positive that at least one from the UAE will win the coveted title of GVOM Season 4."
Roshan D'Silva, the coordinator of GVOM UAE chapter has this to say: "Mangalore Konkans always supports Konkani talents and this year we have highly talented singers. On the preparation front, the committee regularly meets to discuss and finalise the details of the semi-finals. A workshop to meticulously train the semi-finalists was held on June 27. High profile judges have been chosen to be in the panel, who will provide their insights and suggestions to the singers to be more proficient in their singing. These judges will also be performing live after the competition and prove their skills and talents."
Besides the serious singing competition to choose the finalists to represent UAE at the GVOM Season 4 in Muscat, the organizers, Mangalore Konkans Dubai has chalked out a session to keep the audience entertained with dances and comedy skit. So the evening of GVOM semi-finals in Dubai will be a thrilling and entertaining event for the ever enthusiastic audience.
