Udupi, Jul 29: In another case of murder in the district, a young man was killed in a restaurant near Diana theatre at Kukkikatte here, on Saturday July 29 morning.
The murdered has been identified as Sudeep Shettigar (21), a resident of Kabbinale near Karkala. He was working as a waiter in Shetty Lunch Home at Kukkikatte. He was stabbed to death on Saturday morning by Vishwanath Poojary (35), a cook in the same restaurant.
Though the exact motive behind the murder is not known, it is said that personal enmity between the two might have ended in the murder of Sudeep.
Accused Vishwanath has been arrested and the town police have booked a case against him.
