Gulbarga, Aug 6: The newly formed Gulbarga diocese will be soon be global!

Formed in Jun 2005 the Diocese of Gulbarga comprising the three Districts of North Karnataka (Bidar, Gulbarga and Bijapur) has spread its wings globally in reaching out to everyone thorough its website.

The web portal www.gulbargadiocese.com will be launched by the Bishop of Gulbarga Rev Robert Miranda Aug 18 on the first anniversary of the diocese.

A joyful news to the small catholic community of North Karnataka is this website which offers a gamut of information. Special features include information on the Gulbarga, the diocese, various churches coming under its jurisdication, various services etc will now be available at the click of a button.

The diocese is the 10th catholic diocese in Karnataka and 150th in India. This new diocese consists of three revenue districts viz. Gulbarga, Bidar and Bijapur and has 36 priests, 115 women religious, 8 regents and more than 100 lay persons involved in the service of the Diocese.
