Udupi, Aug 7: The prestigious C V Raman Award for Science offered by the Government of Karnataka will be given to Dr P Sugandhi Rao, Professor Department of Microbiology, Kasturba Medical College, Manipal.
The feature on the cap of the coastal district, Dr Sugandhi has been selected for the award based on her contribution to the field of medical sciences. A committee headed by Dr C N R Rao finalized the award to be given to Dr Sugandhi, who is the first member of the KMC fraternity to receive such an honour.
On Aug 17, Dr Sugandhi will receive the award from the hands of Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy.
