Bangalore, July 15 (IANS): Rashmika Rajan of Karnataka scalped top seeded Pragati Natraj of Tamil Nadu 8-2 in the second round and advanced to the quarterfinals of the girls Under-18 singles in the MP Prakash Memorial AITA Championship Series tennis tournament here Tuesday.
Rashmika, a trainee of Kinesis Academy here, also entered the girls Under-16 singles quarter-finals after receiving a walk over from indisposed Nikitha Reddy.
In the boys Under-18 singles, top seed Vasisht Vinod Cheruku outplayed Avilash Mishra of Orissa 6-0, 6-0 to make the last eight grade.
