Thiruvananthapuram, Aug 9: A mild earthquake measuring 2.5 on the Richter scale was experienced in Kilimannur area near Thiruvananthapuram on Wednesday morning.
The light intensity tremor lasted for three seconds, Met office director K Santhosh said.
Though people in the rural belt of Kilimannur, Nagarur and Kallara panicked for a while, no loss of property was reported from anywhere, police said.
