Mangalore: Judge's signature, seal forged - Advocate faces criminal case

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (SP)

Mangalore, Jul 17: A case was filed in Bunder police station here on Wednesday July 16 against city-based advocate, A C Jayaraj, and his associates, relating to diversion of insurance money by providing a bank with fake records that were created by using forged signatures and seals of the city sessions judge.

The advocate concerned has been accused of using forged seals of judges, B V Prakash and district and sessions judge, Arun Choudapurkar. The policemen have registered this case, based on a complaint received from the officials of the sessions court here.

It is gathered that Jayaraj is mostly involved with extending legal advice in cases relating to claiming insurance amount in the case of vehicle accidents. In some cases, the courts order the settled insurance claim amounts to be invested in term deposits with banks in the names of injured persons. Once the term of the deposit as prescribed by the courts is completed, the courts send relevant documents with instructions to release the amount of these deposits to the injured persons. The banks, after receipt of these documents, disburse money to the persons concerned.

A bank in Kankanady here found out to its dismay that the records provided to it by the office of the advocate, A C Jayaraj, bore fake signatures and seals of the judges. The court, treating the complaint made by the bank in this regard in all seriousness, ordered the court officials to file criminal complaint against the advocate concerned and his associates who were involved with this activity.

Bunder police inspector, Cheluvaraju, is personally looking into the matter after registering a case in this issue. Police commissioner, Hitendra, confirmed that a case against the said advocate stands registered in Bunder station.

Did not even have to guess the name after reading the headlines.. It was hands down.. A C Jayaraj has been known to such acts. In Vehicle accidents compensation he gives a meagre sum to the victims and pockets the majority. Not all suprised by the news.. At last the law has caught with him. Good Job..

This is probably done by someone else to defame A.C.Jairaj. Mr.Jairaj won't stoop to this level as alleged. He is a very upright Advocate. Anyway we are not the ones to judge / rash judge this episode. The Police / Court and God will look into it. Be patient for some time.

If a rightful path is taken by the Police and by law, all will move well for punishing the unlawful deeds.

But all our people know that money can buy anything and everything in this great country and AC Jayaraj has it plenty.

Pray that our law does lawful practice to punish all the unlawful deeds of not only AC Jayaraj in this case, but others too.

High connections Congi. One day it is bound to come out.

Recall a personal experience from 2004 incident .. AC jayaraj was involved in a RTA (vehicle) claim. Luckily the compensation cheque was issued in the victims name. AC Jayaraj harassed him but prudence of the bank Manager made the victim deposit the cheque as a FD in the bank.. Jayaraj was fuming!!!. If there is a forum in Mangalore to let out the greivances majority of people who have suffered at his hands will testify against his unlawfull practise methods.Hopefully people volutarily testify against him.

Right sir, there are well organized groups involved in the lucrative businesses mentioned by you and many a times, even the bank people too are involved!!

In recent times so many cases of big ticket properties of old people who live alone without any relatives or successors being usurped by such gangs in connivance with their caretakers!!

In a recent case reported in TOI, Mumbai, an officer from a law enforcing agency supposedly has usurped a property worth 8 crores of a old widower!! When the landlord found that some other party was occupying the flat and the original person was missing he immediately lodged a FIR regarding this and the missing man, but it was not taken seriously by the authorities saying it was a civil case and not criminal!! The landlord then filed cases in the civil court where it was found that a sale agreement was made with the old man regarding sale of the flat to the new party and the agreement too was not registered, and since the time the agreement was made, the poor old man is missing!! And moreover in a landlord owned property, first an NOC has to be obtained from him before entering into any transaction with a buyer!!

Now see the audacity with which the property has been usurped by the people are the law enforcers, then what to expect from the ordinary people!! Jai Hind!!

If proved that A.C.Jairaj was involved in this forgery case, he is likely to be imprisoned and also lose his licence to practice as an Advocate.

It is pathetic recently I was in Family court and a lawyer was after an NRI Respondent in a Divorce case and he (lawyer/ Advocate) was only after the money and nothing else , Nothing related to Reconciliation or family matters but to break off the relationship and get enough from the NRI so he and his client can share the spoils. Unbelievable/ pathetic and sorry state of the country where 80% of the population is Corrupt.

Settlement of Insurance Claims, Property without clear records, Unclaimed Deposits for long in PSU and Private Banks are 'big business' nowadays. You have 'settlement brokers' of all kinds here. Small time Lawyers, Accountants, Real Estate agents
are all in the 'fray' here.
Acase of 'Munde Madhuveyalli Undavane Jaana'.....

AC Jayraj has and had duped many innocent people in this regards. When he took oath as a lawyer he had sworn to do good to mankind and society, but alas he has not lived up to it. Everybody wants to make a fast buck.... Sure, but not at the cost of devouring the victims money. There was another lawyer who was in the habit of doing such things, who was punished by the ultimate judge "GOD", who eventually survived, and has presently found other sources for his highly dangerous habits.

    God save the world!

Once up on time profession of advocate was very NOBLE.now a days nothing left in it.Some times Advocates are cheating their clients by parting with oppn party and clients must be very careful while their cases are in progress. The particular case shows how VAKILS are treating Judicial System of India and the advocate in question relinquishes his pleading right in the court.

Dear Ismail Saheb, Lawyer Profession is still treated as honorable job for the people who are not involved in Politics. The moment these Lawyers get involved in Politics or associated with Politicians their mind sets too gets changed. They try to earn more name and fame as well as money but ethics of judgment remain at bottom forever. Classic example is Ram Jethmalani and Kapil Sibal…. Both of them earned enough name, fame and money but just look at the cases they fought!!!
