Mangalore: Aug 12: The biannual practice journal of the Department of Journalism ‘Dhwani’ was released by Fr Eugene Lobo, Principal of St Aloysius College, here on Thursday in the Journalism Studio in the presence of the Final year journalism students.

Congratulating the students for their enthusiasm, Fr Lobo expressed his satisfaction over the way the Journalism students have been active in the college campus.

Fr Lobo placed on record the yeomen service rendered by the Department and its students by reporting for the web, TV, and Al-Week. He also articulated the happiness of the some of the staff over their contribution to various departments and associations. He announced that he would gift another video camera to the department, because he said the journalism department utilizes it to the hilt.  He exalted the students to be the life of the Campus.

'Dhwani' the bilingual journal is a team work. Fr Lobo made it a point to underline the team work involved in producing the magazine. He also invited to remain a closely-knit unit.

Fr Richard Rego, the Head of the Journalism Department, Suman Mendonca, President of Al-Madhyam and the student Editorial group of Dhwani were present at the function.
