Karkala, Aug 12: A person who had been missing for some days on Saturday August 12 found murdered in a well at Kalattarapade near Renjala here.  The police have arrested the cousin of the murdered in connection with the case.

The deceased has been identified as Mohammad (45) of Kalattarapade.  He had been since some days.  However, his body was removed from an empty well near his house on Saturday.

Mohammad's brother Abubakkar had filed a case with the rural police station about the missing of the former.  Rural police inspector Srinivasraju started investigation and took one Razak, a cousin of Mohammad, to custody.  During the investigation Razak spilt beans and confessed that he had killed Mohammad over a small dispute and had thrown his body in a near by empty well.  Razak is a cousin of Mohammad in relation.

Though Razak's wife had come to know about the murder, he had threatened her not to tell about it to anyone.  So she too had kept quiet all these days.  But police interrogation went in the right direction and solved the case.

Mohammad's body was removed from the well on Saturday morning in the presence of concerned officials and police personnel.
