Mangalore, Aug 14: The Panambur police led by SI Pramod Kumar raided a illegal slaughterhouse Angaragundi and arrested three persons on Sunday August 14 morning.

The police acted on a sure tip-off that an illegal slaughterhouse was functioning in a small shed near Angaragundi mosque here.  Immediately the police raided the shed and arrested Badruddin (46) of Moodigere, Bashir (46), a resident of Jokatte and Mohammad Shamir (46) of Angaragundi.

The police also seized a Maruti Omni car, a calf and few kilograms of beef.

Meanwhile Kankanady police have arrested one person for selling beef illegally at Moodshedde on Sunday.  The police had raided the said shop based on the information provided by Bajrang Dal unit of Moodshedde.  The police seized 37 kilograms of beef from the shop and registered a case against the shopkeeper.
