Mangalore, Aug 14: "In order to introduce in schools as a subject, we should think of preparing suitable text books.  It is good that a though to introduce Tulu in schools has come forth.  But the responsibility is more on part of the teachers so that they teach that which is correct and sound," said Manjula Shetty, block resource person of education department.

She was speaking at the valedictory ceremony of the workshop for Tulu teachers organized by Karnataka Tulu Sahtiya Academy in association with Valored and PADI on Sunday August 13.

Tulu academy president M K Sitaram Kulal presided over the function.  A total of 13 teachers had participated in the two-day workshop.

Academy member B N Harish Boloor welcomed the gathering.  PADI convener Reshma G Ullal proposed vote of thanks while Dr Gananath Yekkar compered the programme.
