Mangalore, Aug 16: Asha Kiran, the Jesuit House, has been shifted to a new location from Kaprigudda, Falnir. The new house is located at Fr Muller's hospital, adjacent to Pumpwell circle along Ullal road.


Presently, Asha Kiran has 29 Jesuit inmates - Fr Stany D'Souza (superior, who is also doing his PhD in Kannada literature), Fr Melvin D'Cunha (Asst, & a PhD scholar in Bio-technology) and Br Joseph Alvares, an 80 year old Jesuit brother (Brohter of the late Jo Sa Alvares - noted Konkani novelist and journalist.


There are 26 young Jesuit Scholastics (Brothers) who are pursuing their undergraduate studies at St Aloysius College in various disciplines.


The new plot was donated by Mr Eddie D'Sa and family in memory of their parents.
